Tortilla Burgers are a fusion of smash burgers and tacos, offering a unique twist on your classic burger.

- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 for best juiciness)
- 6 small flour tortillas (soft taco size)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar or American cheese
- 1 tablespoon oil or butter (for the pan)
- ½ cup mayonnaise (for burger sauce)
- 2 tablespoons ketchup (for burger sauce)
- 1 tablespoon mustard (for burger sauce)
- 1 tablespoon pickle relish (for burger sauce)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (for burger sauce)
- ½ teaspoon paprika (for burger sauce)
Instructions
- Heat oil or butter in a pan over medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape them into balls.
- Place each ball in the pan and smash down with a spatula.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Top each patty with cheese and let it melt.
- Warm the tortillas in another pan for about 30 seconds on each side.
- Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on a tortilla and adding desired toppings.
- If using, mix all burger sauce ingredients in a bowl and drizzle over the burger.
- Serve immediately.

- For best results, use a cast-iron skillet for cooking.
- Feel free to customize your toppings.
