Description
A refreshing and tangy homemade lemonade with a triple berry twist.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups of water, divided
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon finely grated lemon peel
- 1 ½ cups frozen thawed triple berry blend, or 2 cups fresh berries
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and sugar. Heat over medium heat until sugar dissolves. Let cool to make a simple syrup.
- In a blender, puree the berries with 1 cup of water. Strain to remove seeds if desired.
- In a large pitcher, mix the simple syrup, berry puree, lemon juice, lemon peel, and remaining 2 cups of water.
- Stir well and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Serve over ice and enjoy.
Notes
- Adjust sugar to taste if berries are very sweet or tart.
- For a stronger berry flavor, increase the amount of berries.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
