Description

This is the ultimate chicken Caesar sandwich featuring crispy fried chicken cutlets, fresh romaine lettuce, and a creamy Caesar dressing.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 sandwich buns (brioche or your favorite)
  • 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by pounding it to 1/2-inch thickness.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Dip chicken in the flour mixture, then in beaten eggs, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.
  6. Toast sandwich buns lightly if desired.
  7. Assemble the sandwich by spreading Caesar dressing on the buns, adding fried chicken, chopped romaine, and garnishing with grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Serve immediately.
