Description
A hearty casserole that combines all the flavors of a walking taco in one dish.
Ingredients

- 1 ½ lbs ground beef
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 3 oz cream cheese
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1 can green chilis
- 2-3 cups Fritos corn chips
- 1 cup shredded taco blend cheese
- 1 Roma tomato, chopped
- 1-2 cups shredded lettuce
- Salsa and sour cream for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is cooked through.
- Add cream cheese, taco seasoning, and green chilis to the skillet. Stir until well combined.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the Fritos corn chips on the bottom.
- Spread the beef mixture over the chips.
- Top with shredded taco blend cheese.
- Add the remaining Fritos on top.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and top with chopped tomato and shredded lettuce.
- Serve with salsa and sour cream on the side.
Notes
- Feel free to add other toppings like jalapeños or olives.
- This dish can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
