- Cheesecake:
- 16 oz. full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 Tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs + 1 egg white
- Banana Bread:
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 6 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 egg + 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large or 3 small bananas, mashed (about 1 1/4 cups)
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 - 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips
- Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 3 oz. full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 3 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1-2 Tablespoons sour cream
- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- Make the cheesecake layer: Beat cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, vanilla, and flour until smooth. Add eggs and egg white one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Make the banana bread layer: Whisk oil, sugars, egg, egg yolk, and vanilla. Stir in mashed bananas. Fold in flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and chocolate chips.
- Spread banana bread batter into the pan. Pour cheesecake batter evenly on top.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes until the center is set. Cool completely.
- Make frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, salt, and sour cream. Spread over cooled cake.
- Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top. Chill before serving.

- Check doneness with a toothpick—it should come out clean.
