Description

Strawberry Pop Tart Sugar Cookies are sweet, soft cookies filled with strawberry jam and topped with colorful sprinkles.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Almond Extract
  • 1 cup Strawberry Jam or Preserves
  • 1 cup Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar.
  4. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and almond extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually stir in the dry ingredients until well combined.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  7. Roll out dough and cut into shapes.
  8. Add a teaspoon of strawberry jam on half of the shapes.
  9. Cover with remaining dough shapes and seal edges.
  10. Sprinkle with colored sprinkles.
  11. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
  12. Let cool before serving.
