Instructions
Step 1: Preheat and Prep
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Lightly grease a small baking dish (about 8x8 inches) or use a cast iron skillet for a rustic touch.
Step 2: Make the Creamy Base
In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
Mix in the sour cream and mayonnaise until well combined.
Step 3: Add Flavor and Crab
Stir in the shredded cheddar, mozzarella (if using), green onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
Gently fold in the crab meat, being careful not to break it up too much.
Step 4: Bake the Dip
Transfer the mixture into your prepared baking dish.
Smooth the top with a spatula and sprinkle a little extra cheddar on top if desired.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until hot, bubbly, and golden around the edges.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle with extra green onions for color and freshness.
Serve warm with chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices.
Notes
Fresh Crab Tip: If using fresh lump crab, check for shell fragments before mixing.
No Oven?: Heat in a slow cooker on low until hot and melted.
Add-Ins: Try chopped spinach, diced jalapeños, or a splash of lemon juice.
